William Wright Tate was born on August 8, 1948 in Warren, Arkansas to Helen Marie Tate and Robert Lee Wright, and entered into his eternal rest on December 15, 2021 at the age of 73. His fondest memories include growing up with his 3 siblings: a sister, Bernice Lovett (Ralph Lovett), two brothers, Robert Lee Davis & Freddie Wright. He was blessed to create a beautiful life with his wife, Sheila Mae Smith-Tate where they birthed two children. William joined the U.S. Air Force in September of 1971 and left as a Sergeant in December of 1973. For those who knew him, he was always the "life" of the party and a joy to be around. He truly lived a life of love and laughter. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Marie Tate and only daughter, Almaudia Tate-Thorn. William is survived by his father, Robert Lee Wright, wife, Sheila Mae Smith-Tate; one son, William (Latisha) Tate Jr.; Seven grandchildren Tamishala (Tre) McNeil, Khalil Davison, Takwon Tate, Desiree late, William Tate Ill, Christian Tate and Malana Echols. One great granddaughter, Lyanna McNeil and a
host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and beloved family friends.
