Tina Marie
Dorsey
d. Nov 25, 2021
Pass Christian
On the afternoon of November 25, 2021, an adored mother, sister, friend, and cousin gained wings with grace after a 10 year well fought battle with breast cancer. Choosing to fight every step of the way, she battled it with one word. FAITH! Tina was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched with a simple smile and saying, "If he brought you to it, he will bring you through it." Tina is survived by her daughter Jade Aaliyah Dorsey, her mother Jean Mary Dorsey along with 6 living siblings.
Tina was born to the late Mr. Wilbert J. Dorsey Sr and Jean Mary Dorsey on May 22, 1970 in Gulfport, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her father Wilbert Dorsey Sr. Tina was the youngest of seven children. She attended grade school and graduated high school from Bay High School in 1989. She was a life-long member of Saint Rose De Lima Church where she was a devoted Catholic and always kept Christ as the head of her life. She was employed as a registrar at Hancock Medical Center and also a devoted employee of 11 years at Lowe's in Waveland, Mississippi.
Tina's first and most cherished treasure was her daughter Jade Aaliyah Dorsey. As a mother she devoted her time and love to Jade. Jade was devoted to her mother as well and cherishes the memories they had throughout her childhood and journey to being a young lady.
To know Tina was to know a woman that was God-fearing, family devoted, determined, and not easily broken. Everyone she met loved Tina. She never missed a nail appointment, and you knew her by her signature pink nail color. The smile she graced you with was enough to make a complete stranger change their mind! She loved the Dallas Cowboys, the city of New Orleans, walks on the beach and loved spending time with family and friends. Tina's memories will be cherished by all that knew her.
Tina will especially be missed by her daughter, Jade, her mother Jean Dorsey, her sisters Madelyn (Carlton) Sneed Baltimore, MD; Melissa (Ricardo Sr.) Dedeaux Pass Christian, MS; Michele (Edward Jr) Tillison Pearl River, LA; her brothers Wilbert Dorsey Jr. Waveland, MS; Ernest Dorsey Metarie, LA; and Gary (Lee)Dorsey Metairie, LA.
