Stacy Rochelle Smith was born December 5, 1978, in Gulfport, MS to the late Willie and Levern Smith, and entered eternal rest on April 29, 2021 at the age of 42. Stacy had an amazingly sweet spirit and would do anything she could for anyone. Her demeanor was a "laid back and quiet" one. She enjoyed eating (especially crab legs) and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She graduated Class of 1997 from Gulfport High School. She worked at Walmart in Gulfport, MS for many years. After several years at Walmart, she worked at Oreck Manufacturing Company in Long Beach, MS and later worked as a Dispatcher at the Seabee Base in Gulfport, MS until her health declined.

Swinging open Heaven's gates awaiting her arrival with Jesus are her parents Willie and Levern Smith and her sister Sheila Whittle.

Stacy will forever be in the hearts of the daughter she reared Kay'Trence Chanel Stewart; five sisters, Debra (Hosea) Hamm of Moreno Valley, CA, Jacqueline (Wayne) Barnes, Joan (Hewey) Cameron, Stella (Joe) Patterson of Gulfport, MS and Samantha Turner of Waveland, MS; three brothers, Marcus (Madelyn) Parker of Rialto, CA, Jimmy Parker of Moreno Valley, CA, and Russell (Andrea) Smith of Saucier, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, and they loved her.
