Seth Cowart, Jr. (81) transitioned on June 18, 2020, at his home in Gulfport, MS.  He was born on April 30, 1939 to Seth Sr. and Edna Cowart in Kokomo, MS.

Seth attended Pine Grove High School in Foxworth, MS.  He was a Supervisor, with Newman's Lumber company, retiring after 28 years.  A loving husband and father, Seth was a man of great integrity, and served as deacon and leader in the church (St. John Baptist and Forrest Heights Missionary Baptist), a role that he was extremely proud of and committed to serving.

Seth was well respected in the community, a father figure and mentor to many.  He was a man of few words, but very insightful and powerful when he spoke, not to mention his quick-witted humor. He was always ready to offer a kind and encouraging word.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years, Mae Ceil Cowart; two children,  Bobby Cowart (wife Angela) and Eloise Liddell; several grandchildren – Bobby Jr. (J.R.), Jamaal, Afton, Angela, Tiffany, Elise, Darren, Ellis, Shanta, Sabrina; and one Goddaughter, Angel Johnson; one surviving sibling, James (Tip) Cowart; and  a host of nieces and nephews.

Seth will truly be missed by his family and friends.
