Robert J. Bolton, Sr., age 84, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026.
Born on April 9, 1942, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Robert lived a life marked by hard work, perseverance, and devotion to family. His journey took him throughout the country before settling in New York, where he raised his family. Nearly forty years ago, he returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where he established Bolton's Auto in Gulfport and Long Beach. Through his knowledge of automobiles, entrepreneurial spirit, and willingness to help others, he became a familiar and respected figure throughout the community.

Robert took great pride in his work and enjoyed repairing, building, buying, and selling automobiles. He also valued time spent with family and was known for sharing his experience and practical wisdom with those around him. Over the years, he assisted many people and built relationships that extended far beyond his business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Bolton and Helen Bolton, and his sister, Dorothy Jean Lee.

He is survived by his son, Robert (Lashelle) Bolton; daughters Cindy (Leroy) Pryce, Shirley White, Sandra Bolton, and Cathy Tuff Spiller (Derick); sister Patricia Lett; brother Ernest Bolton; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Robert's legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the business he built, and the many lives he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
