Obituary

Mr. Reginald Daniels, 81, was born January 12, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio. After a life of Christian faith, service, and loving memories, he departed this life, Friday, May 1, 2020.

Mr. Daniels was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for more than 20 years.  He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, located in the Handsboro community of Gulfport, Mississippi. Mr. Daniels served his country within the United States Navy for 20 years, ending his service in the year of 1976. After his service to his country, Mr. Daniels remained active and engaged as he became a member of the American Legion, a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. These are the makings of a man of patriotism and honor.

In addition to his dedication to his country, Mr. Daniels remained steadfast in his commitment to Christ. As an active member of the First Missionary Baptist Church family, he served in the Male Chorus, as an Usher, and was Laymen. Mr. Daniels' service to God and country is a testament to his God-answered call to manhood and Christianity.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Micah 6:8

Mr. Daniels was an upright man and though his time in this life has come to an end, his family and friends rejoice as they have resolved to continue to walk in the light of his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Roy Daniels and Ms. Barbara Wallace.

Mr. Daniels leaves his life and legacy to be cherished by his beautiful wife, Mrs. Lolita E. Daniels; two stepsons, James (Brandie) Pearson- California, Matthew Pearson- Mississippi; three daughters, Regina Daniels- New York, Tammy Daniels- New York, Lela Daniels- Arizona; a step daughter, April Pearson- Florida; three sisters, Jaci (Freddie) Powell, Yvonne Bennett, Erni Orso; five grandchildren , other relatives and many lifelong friends.
