Ralph Marcel McKay was born on January 31, 1942, to the late Joseph and Veronica McKay. He departed this life at the age of 81 on Monday, October 30, 2023, in Delisle, MS. He was preceded in death by two brothers Louis and Harold McKay, and two sisters, Anna Mae Swanier, and Mary Ann Dedeaux.
Ralph served over thirty years in the United States Army Reserves retiring in 2003 and was a deputy With the Harrison County Sheriff Department for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching cowboy movies, and Wrestling. You could not tell him that wrestling was fake. He was also an avid gun collector. Ralph was a man with a big heart who loved family. He always treated people as he would have been expected to be treated.
Ralph leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Margaret; three sons, James (Paula) McKay (Crowley, TX), Michael (Angela) McKay (Delisle, MS), Vernon (Shawn) McKay (Houston, TX); three daughters, Deborah (David) Isabelle (San Antonio, TX), Mary (David) Cureau (Houston, EX) and Laura (Jonathan) Hall (Pass Christian, MS). Five brothers, Edward (Louise) McKay (Brentwood, CA), George (Freda) McKay (Chatsworth, CA), John (Linda) McKay (Delisle, MS), Arnold McKay (Pass Christian, MS) and Clarence McKay (Delisle, MS); three sisters, Veronica Janet (Gulfport, MS), Azelea McKay (Pass Christian, MS) and Patricia Peters (Austin, TX). Seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Ralph will be missed by many friends and family members.
