Otis James Brooks, Jr. was born April 27, 1976 in Stutthof, Germany to the late Otis James Brooks, Sr. and Etha Mae Brooks.

Otis was a military child that spoke only German until he settled in Gulfport with his parents over 40 years ago.

Otis attended Harrison Central High School where he played baseball. He graduated with the class of 1995.

He was a faithful employee of A First Name Basis Home Care where he worked tirelessly to provide for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Sgt. Otis James Brooks, Sr. and Etha Mae Brooks, and a brother Adrian Lamont Brooks.

His memories will be forever cherished by his children, Daja R. Brooks, Olivia A. Brooks and Otis J. Brooks, III; one grandson, Messiah J. Brooks (Pop Pops Boy); a brother, Antoine M. Brooks; three nieces, Jeniah Brooks, Layla Brooks and Mya Brooks; a nephew, Zaydren Hubbard; one Godbrother, Andre' Farmer, a host of aunt, uncles cousins and friends.
