Oliver G. Swanier, 67, was born July 10, 1953, in DeLisle, Mississippi. He departed this life, in the comfort of Christ, Thursday, January 14, 2021.

Mr. Swanier was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Coast. He was graduate of Pass Christian High School. After graduating from high school, Oliver continued his education at Texas Southern University, where he received a full scholarship to play baseball. Oliver received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and later gained employment with Stennis Space Center as a Lead Mechanical Technician, retiring after serving for more than 30 years. He attended and was a faithful member of Charity Baptist Church, Long Beach, where he was a member of the choir. Oliver enjoyed baseball, golfing, dancing, but most of all he enjoyed his family and friends. There was never a time when he met a stranger. Oliver was the protector and provider of his family and walked in the way that pleased the Lord. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Oliver W. Swanier and Mrs. Geraldine Bradley Swanier; his beautiful and loving wife, Mrs, Pamela P. Swanier

Mr. Swanier leaves to cherish his life and memories his son; Ivan Swanier; two daughters, Shelly Clark (Jonathan Hampton) and Nikia Swanier; three sisters, Nona Warren (Aaron), Wendelyn Swanier, Violet Bowser; one brother, Volme (Susie) Swanier; four grandchildren; three godchildren, Gerald Green, Jr., Erica Warren, Volme Swanier, Jr.; other relatives; church members; and friends.
