Nicole Diane
White
Jun 3, 1970 — May 4, 2025
Nicole Diane White was born on June 3, 1970, in Gulfport, Mississippi, to the late Katherine and Willie Lee White Sr. She was reared in Saucier, MS, as part of what her mother fondly called the "second set" of children.
As a child, Nicole attended Saucier Elementary School and enjoyed playing youth softball and participating in various sports. She graduated from Harrison Central High School in 1988 and soon after welcomed her first child, Cameron D. White, May 25, 1989.
In the early 1990s, Nicole began her teaching career at Harrison Central Elementary. There, she quickly became known for her loving yet firm approach to both students and colleagues. She was more than just a classroom teacher—she tutored, led school programs, and eventually became director of the after-school program, where she continued to pour her heart into the lives of children and educators alike. In 1995, Nicole welcomed her second child, Courtney D. White, on August 22. After many years of dedicated service in the classroom and as a part-time site director, Nicole accepted a full-time role with AlphaBEST Education, Inc. as Area Manager for Mississippi. Her passion, commitment, and tireless work ethic were key to her rise within the organization. Though Mississippi was one of the smaller districts in the company, Nicole treated every program under her care with a deep sense of ownership and pride. Her leadership and impact earned her a promotion to Regional Director, where she continued to apply her trademark dedication and compassion across multiple states. Her love for children and her staff made her a beloved figure in every community she served. Nicole's dedication to service extended beyond her professional life. She joined the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, where she eagerly contributed her time, creativity, and heart to numerous community projects.
Nicole was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Willie Lee White Sr.; two brothers, Cain O'Neal and Freddie Lee Jones; and one sister, Christine Mullins.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Cameron D. White; her daughter, Courtney D. White; two grandchildren, Sahrai Marie White and Maxell Cameron White; ten sisters—Patricia (Ricky) Herrien Moore, Constance Moody, Doris (DeWayne) Jones Belle, Cathy White, Yvonne Stringer, Alice Fairley, Staffian Massey, Bettie White, Dynita White, and Eailene White; nine brothers—Eric Jones, Leotha Jones, Kevin White, Willie Lee White Jr., Michael (Mary) White Sr., Lawrence White, Sylvester White, Don White, and Ronald White; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, and dear friends.
