Mya LaJon Griffin, 15, of Gulfport, Mississippi, departed this life on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Mya was a member of Forrest Heights Baptist Church, Gulfport, MS. She attended Bel Aire Elementary and was an eighth grader at North Gulfport Middle School. Mya was active with the city league basket ball team, volleyball and a was Forrest Heights Boys and Girls Club Member. She loved dance and participated in dance at the Boys and Girls Club. Mya was a beautiful young lady and to know her was to love her. Mya will be missed dearly by all who knew her .

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Mr. John Arthur Dixon.
