Obituary

Mildred L. (Bonnie) Boykin was born on June 22, 1952, in Gulfport, MS to the late David and Estella Boykin.

She was the Mother of Second Sweet Home Body of Christ Ministries in Gulfport, MS. She was a faithful member. She also attended and participated in services of Church of God of Prophecy. Mildred was a general service worker of the Air National Guard and a personal care worker at April's Place Retirement Home.

Mildred was a mother and friend to everyone that she came in contact with. A sweet soul that always had a kind word and a smile. She was willing to serve anyway she could with a pure heart of God. There was always a host of children at her home, and everyone called her Mama.

She leaves to cherish her memories: four sons and daughters; Amiri Boykin of Gulfport, MS, Devon (Edwina) Boykin of Ocean Springs, MS, Deunte Boykin, and Zechariah Boykin, both of Gulfport, MS. Her grandchildren: Daniel, Micah, Nallah and K'Yoni. Her sisters: Betty, Donna (Lawrence), Jessica and Tiffany. Her brothers: Lawrence, Henry, and Glenn (Marie). Her best friend, Annette McDonald and a host of relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.
