Melissa Ann
Hanna
Jan 16, 1969 — Sep 27, 2026
Bay Saint Louis
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Melissa Ann Hanna, who passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, at the age of 57, surrounded by the love and comfort of her daughters.
Melissa was a woman with a beautiful soul, a gentle spirit, and a heart full of love. Though her journey here on earth was not without its struggles, her kindness and the love she shared with those around her will forever be remembered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We now find comfort in knowing that her earthly burdens have been lifted and she is now resting eternally in the arms of her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her daughters, Joelle (Paul) Necaise, Shawna (Ty) Peterson, Michell (Charles) Alfonso; their loving father Peter Wesner Jr.; and her beautiful grandchildren, Tyson, Amelia, Briggs, Matthew, and Zachary; All of which will carry her love and memory in their hearts forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and Robert O’Hanlon; her brothers and sisters; and her beloved daughter, Ashley Wesner.
While our hearts ache in her absence, we find peace in the promise of eternal life, knowing that she is finally home, reunited with those who went before her and embraced by the everlasting love of Jesus.
A celebration of Melissa’s life will be held at a later date, arrangements are yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made that can be utilized to support individuals experiencing homelessness in our local community. In honoring her memory, we hope to extend kindness, compassion, and love to those who need it the most.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33
