A peaceful journey of life began for Marsha Letitia King, 56, a life-long resident of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi on July 17, 1965 until she was called for her eternal journey on November 30, 2021.
Marsha was the youngest child of a family of eight siblings born to the late Juanita Haynes Wilson, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. She was a lifelong member of Valena C. Jones United Methodist Church, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi where she was an active member of the Gospel Choir, served as a Trustee, member of the Nomination Leadership Committee, member of the S/PPRC Board, and a teacher during Vacation Bible School.
Marsha received her early education in the Bay Waveland School System graduating from Bay High School in 1983. She matriculated at Pearl River Junior College, earning and Associate Degree in Business and Marketing in 1985.
Marsha was so very proud of her children, Kelton and Kirsten and encouraged them to be the best they could be by seeking God first. She was a people loving person who conversed with any and all she met. She enjoyed listening to gospel music as wells aas music of the 70's. Marsha enjoyed sitting on her porch where she could meet the world with a smile and king words. She truly loved her family and found joy in watching her nieces and nephews grow up.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents Juanita Haynes Wilson and William A. Tate; four brothers, Andres Haynes, William Tate, Alcide Tate, and Joseph Tate; three sisters, Phalba Wallace, Eliska Williams, and Mary Jenny Johnson, and a best friend, Linnette Potee.
Marsha leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Kelton Piernas (Kristy)- DeLisle, Mississippi; a daughter, Kirsten Piernas- Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; sisters, Annie Bradley- Gulfport, Mississippi, Willie (William) Bogan- Gulfport, Mississippi; Eloise (Bobby) Gould- Waveland, Mississippi, Evelyn Wells- Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; Lucille (Thomas) Williams- Cordova, Tennessee, Charlene (Anthony) Cook- Bay St. Louis; one brother, Theodore Haynes (Carla)- Bay St. Louis; two godchildren, Nyla Miller and Kolton Bradley; best friends, June Vonture, Rose Biggs, and Shelia Crawford; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
