On April 14, 2023 in Norfolk, Virginia the final chapter of the earthly life of Mark Stanciel Crockrum was closed by the quiet touch of God in calling him home. Mark was born December 20, 1966 at Stone County Hospital, Wiggins, Mississippi to his parents John and Lidthea Crockrum. He was educated in the Stone County School District, graduating with the class of 1984 from Stone High School. He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Perkinston Campus. At an early age he joined St. Paul United Methodist Church which is now H.A. Brown Memorial United Methodist Church. His past employment included Ingalls Shipyard, Pascagoula, Mississippi and was presently employed with General Dynamic NASSCO in Norfolk, Virginia. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Lidthea Brown Crockrum and grandparents Allen and Jessie Crockrum and Missouri Jones. A lifetime of memories will be cherished by his father, John Crockrum, two sisters: Trina King and Mioshi (Johnny) Crockrum-Brown all of Wiggins, Mississippi; niece Trimiya King of Gulfport, Mississippi; nephew Marcus Crockrum and great-nephew Maddox Crockrum both of Wiggins, Mississippi; four uncles: Edward (Minnie) Crockrum of Slidell, Louisiana, James H. Crockrum, Tyrone (Shelia) Davis, and Julius Jones all of Wiggins, Mississippi; two aunts: Jessie M. Evans and Mary (Mitchell) Hinton both of Wiggins, Mississippi; special childhood neighbors: Rev. Enright (Lisa) Chandler, Theresa Chandler, Ruby (Robert) Jackson, Talaresha Knox, Terry (Norma) Chandler, Kenneth Chandler and Rosie (Clarence) Sledge and a host of many relatives and friends
