Marion (Saucier) Hargett was born on January 15, 1938, the first child born to Reverend Johnny Saucier and Francis White. Marion was the eldest of 15 maternal and 10 paternal siblings. At a young age, she married Clarence Hargett, who preceded her in death. This union produced five children: Clarence Hargett, Jr, Gloria Irene Belitz, Stephen Lee Hargett, Christine L. Smith, and Robert Anthony Hargett.

As a young girl, Marion accepted the Lord and vowed to be a steadfast steward for the Lord until the day she passed. Marion was a devout wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking for her immediate and church family. She was often seen in the kitchen baking cakes and pies for many church events. For 33 years, Marion worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant in the delivery unit at Hancock Hospital. In addition, she worked at Gulfport Memorial for 10 years in the dialysis center. While working and taking care of her family, Marion raised her two eldest grandchildren. Upon retiring, she continued her passion of caring for children by taking care of her three great grandchildren, Aaliyah Brumfield, Eric Brumfield and Emery Brumfield until they reached school age.

Marion passed peacefully in her sleep on June 16, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children (Clarence Jr. and Gloria), granddaughter Sandy and may of her maternal and paternal siblings.

Marion will be missed but left a legacy of life memories with her three brothers; Garry Saucier, Robert White and Alvin Allen; two sisters; Victoria White and Alberta Thomas; two sons, Stephen and Robert Hargett; one daughter, Christine Smith; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host family and friends.
