Ms. Morgan attended Thirty-Third Avenue High School. She was an active member of St. James Baptist Church until her health declined. She was employed at United States Department of Veteran Affairs in Gulfport Mississippi for 37 years until her retirement in 2007. Ms. Morgan loved telling jokes and had a great sense of humor. She took pride in beautifying herself as well.

Ms. Morgan enjoyed getting her hair and nails done and dressing up in her high heels and her hats. Ms. Morgan cared for many children in addition to her own. In her downtime she loved to watch Family Feud and Judge Judy. She also took great pleasure in talking on the phone to her family and friends, as well as listening to Al Green and Aretha Franklin. Her favorite holiday was Christmas.

Ms. Morgan is preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Hattie Morgan of Gulfport Mississippi; one brother, Robert Morgan; one sister, Geraldine Tate- both of Gulfport Mississippi; 2 great grandsons, Kendrell McDonald and Messiah Cook- both of Gulfport, Mississippi; one great granddaughter, Jaida Morgan- of Gulfport, Mississippi; and her life-long companion, Nathan Cook (the apple of her eye for 57 years).

Ms. Morgan leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Nathaniel Morgan-Bey- Gulfport, MS, Anthony Cook- Conley, GA; two daughters, Delbrah Morgan, Angela Cook- both of Gulfport, MS; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
