Lolita Marie
Robert-Benjamin
Oct 19, 1956 — Apr 21, 2022
Gulfport
Lolita Marie Robert-Benjamin was born October 19, 1956 in Gulfport, Mississippi. She is the daughter of the late Mr. Joseph Robert, Sr. and Mrs. Dorothy Robert. Lolita was strongly rooted in the Catholic faith. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and served faithfully in
the Ladies Auxiliary Court #25. She believed in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, and confessed one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Lolita's love, life, and legacy was a blessing to many. Lolita, "Lolo", as she was fondly known by family and friends, was educated within the Gulfport School District. She was a graduate of Gulfport East High School, class of 1975. Sometime after high school, Lolita began her
college career at the University of South Alabama. She later returned home and completed her studies at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where she obtained her LVN License. Lolo was a beautiful soul, with a bright mind, and a heart of gold. Her presence in the family was like
a breath of fresh air. Her outgoing personality and jovial disposition just seemed to make life a little bit bearable when she was around. Whether by trade or trait, Lolo was such a caring human being. Her compassion and care for those she loved was honest and pure. To know her was to love her. Thursday, April 21, 2022, Lolita took her last breath and entered the arms of Christ. Sometimes in life, we each find ourselves considerably
blessed to be connected to people who make huge imprints on our hearts. The time that God has given us with Lolita has proven that we are indeed a blessed family. Lolita's outgoing personality, strong will, and determination were the cornerstones of the family. She was always intentional in making sure that the family remained connected. Through her life, we have gained so many memories, and for that, we
are eternally grateful. And by this, generations to come will know that love alone will conquer all.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Robert, Sr.
Lolita leaves to cherish her loving memories: her mother, Ms. Dorothy Robert; two children, Nicholas BenjaminRobert and Cherie Corish; four brothers, Joseph R. Robert, Jr. (Shirley), Paul Robert (Ardell), Ronald Robert, and Raymond Taylor; three sisters, Lydia (Roderick) Evans,
Natalie White, and Susie Taylor; one grandchild, Amaya Robert; seven nephews, four nieces, and a host of relatives
and a community of friends!
