Laura Ashley
Mae Bradley
May 25, 1994 — May 24, 2021
Pass Christian
"I saw my truest beauty when I decided to hold my head up high, be proud of myself, and try again!"
Laura Ashley Mae Bradley, 26, of Pass Christian, Mississippi was born May 25, 1994 in Columbus, Ohio. She was a Mississippi Gulf Coast resident for more than 20 years. Laura entered into eternal rest Monday, May 24, 2021.
Laura attended Pass Christian High School and afterward, she continued her education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC). Laura was such a fun, loving, and caring person. She possessed a sense of compassion that was insurmountable. There were times when she would disregard her own needs and desires just to simply help someone else. As her friends and family members reflect on her life, even as a child, she always displayed altruism in a way that far exceeded their comprehension.
"If I can help somebody, as I travel along
If I can help somebody, with a word or song
If I can help somebody, from doing wrong
No, my living shall not be in vain."
~ Mahalia Jackson~
One of the greatest acts of altruism, displayed by Laura, were her efforts to help those who were striving every day to recovery from the illness of addiction. She understood that the quality of a person's life is not measured by how much you own or possess, instead it is measured by how much of yourself you can give to others. Laura, in more ways than one, exemplified this idea. You see, she had this amazing ability to see the beauty in things that others would typically overlook and write off. Laura was love manifested in the flesh. This love was shown in multiple areas of her life and at its center was her son, Dean Joe-Joe Wesson, II. Laura loved her son with all of her heart and enjoyed spending time with him. He was her driving force and reason to go on. It is an understatement to say that she will be missed dearly, but her family finds comfort in knowing that each day they wake, they will do so knowing that she sprinkled love everywhere she went.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Wilson Bradley, Jr.; her paternal grandmother, Gwen Bradley; her maternal grandmother, Mae Cantrell Davis; and a sister, Miranda Sailors.
Laura leaves to cherish her loving and lasting memories to her mom and dad, Christine and Lonnie Bradley; her sisters, Suzanne (Jason Byrd) Sailors, Aleigha Bradley, Liz Bradley; her niece BlakeLeigh Saksa; a nephew, Gavin Butler; her father, Wilson Bradley III (Stacey); a sister, Deja Bradley; a brother, Wilson Bradley, IV; her husband, Dean Joe-Joe Wesson I; her son, Dean Joe-Joe Wesson, II; her Nae Nae (grandma), Eldraine Bradley (Marvin) Pendelton; her maternal grandfather, Billy Simpson (Carol) and a host of close relatives, other family members and friends.
