Laura Lee
Farve
Oct 8, 1925 — Jun 14, 2022
Bay St. Louis
Laura Lee Farve 96, was the 6th of 12 children born to the late Raymond Arnold Sr. and Tempie
Allen Arnold. She transitioned on Tuesday June 14, 2022 at the family home in Bay St. Louis,
MS.
She was born in Pass Christian, MS and later moved to Bay St. Louis, MS where she married the
late Dennis Harold Farve, Sr. in 1949 at St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church. She had to make her
1st Communion, be confirmed and go through a year of marriage counseling before the priest
would perform the ceremony. They were bonded in holy matrimony 49 years before her
husband passed in 1999. Laura was a devoted wife and mother of 14 kids. She loved to dance
and was a genuine person who was an avad church goer. She loved St. Rose de Lima sat at the
same pew every mass and had to be there an hour early to greet everyone. Even when Covid
struck the world she got dressed up and attended live church on social media. Even if she did
not see eye to eye with you she would tell you she still loved you. Laura was a simple woman
that was not so simple. She remembered all of her children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren's birthday and would send a card to them all. She was a loving woman, never
met a stranger and demanded respect wherever she went. She was everyone's mother in the
community and was a giver who gave practical memorable gifts. We are going to miss your
famous pralines ( pecan candy) and your birthday cards. She knew how to light up a room, had
a way with words and made dancers out of non dancers.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father Raymond Arnold Sr. and Tempie Allen
Arnold. Her Husband Dennis Harold Farve Sr.. her siblings, Tempie, Julia, Arthur, Earl, Hazel,
Alice, Ila and Buster. Children Michael Farve, Arthur Farve and Gloria Farve. Her grandson
