Kevin Lloyd
Hardy
Jul 19, 1963 — Oct 24, 2021
Gulfport
Kevin Hardy was born June 19, 1963, to Mr. Joe Lloyd Hardy and Ms. Hazel Elizabeth Diggs in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for more than 20 years, after relocating from Abilene, Texas. Kevin departed this life, Sunday, October 24, 2021.
Kevin was educated within the Abilene Independent School District in Abilene, Texas. He was a 1981 graduate of Abilene High School. Kevin was a member and attended Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, Gulfport, under the leadership of Pastor Ken Braxton. Upon entering the workforce, Kevin gained employment with U-Haul where he developed his love for truck driving. After relocating back to Gulfport, Mississippi, Kevin met and married the love of his life, Mrs. Shuwanda Redeemer Hardy. To this union a beautiful blended family was formed, a girl and two boys. Kevin's move to Mississippi proved to be a fresh start. He would ultimately open, own, and operate his own truck driving business, A1 Trucking. After years of operating his trucking company, Kevin would go on to work for Art Logistics, LLC where he worked for several years. A man, a husband, a father, these are the beginnings of a life well lived by a great man.
Kevin was a lively, outgoing, and friendly man, he loved to have a good time. He was devoted to his family and community. Kevin enjoyed the simple things in life, like mowing the lawn, keeping the family vehicles clean and in top condition, and above
all making sure that his family had the things that they needed from day to day. One
of Kevin's past times was working on and detailing his Corvette. He possessed a deep devotion to the Lord. In fact, he accepted his call and was in training for deaconship. Everyday, Kevin strove to be better than he was the day before. In the book of II Timothy, we are reminded by the Apostle Paul that those who love the Lord and his appearance, shall receive a crown of righteousness. While many friends and family members are saddened by Kevin's earthly departure, they rejoice in the reassurance of the home that has been prepared for him, not by man, but by our Father, whom we shall all see, when He returns.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lloyd Hardy and Hazel Elizabeth Diggs.
He is survived by his spouse, Shuwanda Redeemer Hardy Gulfport, Mississippi; two sons, Brandon Diggs- South Carolina, Gregory Breland- Gulfport, Mississippi; and a daughter, Bria Redeemer- Gulfport, Mississippi; a brother, Joe Diggs- Arlington, Texas; three sisters, Vanessa Henry- Gulfport, Mississippi, Cynthia Johnson- Memphis, Tennessee, Pam Brown- Gulfport, Mississippi; other surviving paternal siblings; five godchildren, Malik Blackston, Edward Perkins III, Zechariah Whittle, Ahlena Myers, and Keshaunna Miller- all of Gulfport, Mississippi; one grandchild; and a host of uncles, aunts, relatives, and friends.
