Kent Royal Taylor died early Tuesday morning, August 2, 2022.  Kent attended elementary school at St. Rose de Lima and went on to Bay Middle School and St. Stanislaus College Prep.  He worked most of his life in construction.

He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Taylor and Betty Jean Booker-Taylor; his infant son, Cadero Taylor; his grandmother, Mrs. Ora Booker Champagne; a beloved great-aunt who raised him, Mrs. Bessie C. Lizana (Mama); beloved great-aunt, Mrs. Eva C. Sylvester and beloved uncle, James Carroll Booker III.

He is survived by his devoted life partner, Ms. Eurreaka Laneaux, her sons Zack and Charles Nichols whom he loved as his own; his two loving sisters, Sheila Taylor-Twiggs and Yolanda Taylor-Barrow; three nieces, Maisha Washington, U'nita Twiggs-Jones (Nick), Nyoka Barrow-Atkins (Chris); two nephews, Sylvester and Solomon Twiggs; two great-nieces, Adoria Darby-Drawsand(Gabriel) and Jaiden Twiggs; one great-nephew, Juan Williams. Kent is also survived by many loving cousins and dear friends.
