On July 19, 1999, Keirra Devone Gates entered this world to complete her beautiful family.

Kierra was quite the scholar. After Keirra successfully graduated from Pass Christian High School, she went on to attend and graduate from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Keirra was currently on track to receive her bachelor's degree in 2021 from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Keirra lived life to the fullest and was blessed to be surrounded by her loving family while growing up in Delisle, Mississippi. One way she showed her love and compassion for children was through her teaching at " A Place To Grow ". She also had a strong bond with her sisters as well as her "little Josiah".

Keirra had the most beautiful smile , it w ould light up the soul of anyone who encountered her. She had a wealth of talent, especially when it came to make up. Even though she certainly didn't need it, Keirra learned how to master the art and enjoyed expressing her talent as a Make Up Artist

On the evening of December 19 , 2020 the world stopped for so many of us when Stacie was notified that Keirra and one of her older sisters , Kianna, were unexpectedly called home .  Together, they gained their wings, uniting with our Heavenly Father. Keirra is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Howard Hightower , Jr. , and an aunt Felicia Hightower.

Keirra's brief presence in our lives will be missed. She will forever be remembered by her adoring mother, Stacie Dedeaux -Simmons (Edward) of Denver, CO; her father, Paul Gates, Jr. of Memphis, TN; one Si ster , Keisha ( Aaric Kipp ) Pierre of Garden City, KN; grandparents, Cynthia Hightower, of Delisle, MS, Paul Gates , Sr. , Hattie (Herbert) Hayes; an aunt, Paula (Gary) Gray ; uncles, Dean (Monica) Dedeaux , of Huntsville, AL, Shawn (Lisa) Dedeaux , of La Quinta, CA , David ( Auriella ) Hightower, Sr., Marvin ( Jeredean ) Hightower, both of Rockford, IL, Greg Peters, Joshua Gates, Jonathan Gates, all of Gulfport, MS; a n uncle and G odfather, Robert (Tracy) Brown, of Gulfport, MS; G odmother, Tenisha Jones , of Lavon, TX , ; God brother and little best friend, Josiah Thomas, of Bay Minette, AL, a God sister, Mc Kynli Roberts of Pass Christian, MS and many loving extended family members and dear friends.
