Joseph B. "Tutu" Conerly, born on June 7, 1975, in Tylertown, Mississippi, he departed this earthly life on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at his home in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was the cherished son of Joanne Newberry and Joe Willie Conerly. Joseph's journey through life was marked by kindness, laughter, and a deep commitment to helping others.

He was a graduate of Harrison Central High School, where he not only prevailed academically but also discovered his passion for football and dancing. In his younger days, Joseph's spirited moves on the dance floor and his athletic prowess on the football field brought joy to those around him. His infectious laughter could brighten even the darkest of days.

Joseph was a man of great compassion, always eager to lend a helping hand by taking on odd jobs for friends and neighbors. He derived immense satisfaction from making people's lives a little easier, and his generosity knew no bounds.

He is preceded in death by his loving paternal and maternal grandparents.

Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories in the hearts of those who survive him, including his beloved mother, Joanne; his father, Joe Willie Conerly; his three children, Brandon (India) McClendon, De' Andre Crawford, and Jayla Williams, who were the pride and joy of his life; a devoted brother, Byron (Rochelle) Johnson, as well as, two cherished grandchildren, two nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever treasure the time they spent with him.
