Jewel was born on November 2, 1989, in Bogalusa, Louisiana, to Lisa Lewis. He later attended high school in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where he proudly earned his high school diploma.

Jewel's life was truly a journey and an adventure. In 2012, he relocated to San Francisco with his family, beginning a new chapter filled with growth and opportunity. He later made his home in Vallejo, California, where he built both his personal and professional life.

Jewel was a dedicated manager at AutoZone in Vallejo, a position he faithfully held for five years. He was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to those he worked alongside.

He leaves behind his younger brother, Justin Lewis of Vallejo, California; his aunt, Mardena McPhail of San Francisco, California; and his uncle, Marshall McPhail of Illinois. He is also survived by countless family and friends who reside across various states and who will cherish his memory always.

Jewel's name suited him — he was truly a jewel to those who knew him. He carried a spirit that was both gentle and strong, offering comfort, laughter, and light in ways that will never be forgotten. He had a way of making people feel seen and valued, and his presence brought warmth into every room he entered.

Though his time here feels far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. His legacy is one of resilience, connection, and enduring love.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
