Mrs. Jeanell Dedeaux Barnes, 86, of Pass Christian, Mississippi departed this life Friday, November 29, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. She attended Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church where she was a faithful lifelong member. Mrs. Barnes was known for her gifted ability to quilt and her green thumb, for she could grow anything. Her eye for details and her passion for numbers bring smiles to her family members as they reminisce on the many times she exemplified these characteristics.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Barnes, of 66 years who recently passed; her parents Virtlee Swanier Dedeaux and William Dedeaux; a son, Wilfred Barnes; three brothers, Bernard Dedeaux, James Dedeaux, Eddie Dedeaux and one sister, Joycelyn Dedeaux.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by three sons, Christopher Barnes (Melanie), Tech. Sgt. (Ret.) Aaron Barnes (USAF), Col. (Ret.) Patrick Barnes (Claudia Michelle) (USAF); four daughters, Jessica Gail Barnes, Alda Fairconeture (Paul Rogers), Carolyn Philan (Chauncey), Orlanda Booker; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
