Ms. Janice M. Stockton, 61, of Biloxi, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2022 at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport after suffering a heart attack. Janice was born February 7, 1961 in Gulfport, Mississippi to Clifton and Jean Audrey Ramsey (Robinson), who precede her in death. She attended both the Gulfport School District and the Biloxi Separate School District, while living here on the Gulf Coast. Janice later moved to Georgia, but returned to Mississippi to be near her youngest grands, where she resided at the time of her passing.

Janice was a superb cook, and worked in several restaurants on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She had an infinity for oysters, shrimp and crabs. She often made dishes for numerous occasions with friends and family. Everyone had a favorite dish that she made for him or her. Janice also worked in an Intermediate Health Care Facility (South Mississippi Regional Center) in Long Beach, Mississippi, supporting Mississippians with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Janice was so personable that many people loved her zest for life. She would try anything once.  She lived her life to the fullest with family and friends, enjoying the simpler things of life, however, music was her guilty pleasure. She leaves to cherish her memories, her brother, Shontay Ramsey of Houston, Texas, her sister, Alisha Ramsey of Biloxi, six children Jamikia Ramsey of Warner Robins, Georgia, Javon Ramsey of Warner Robins, Georgia, Jionnell Smith (Ramsey) of Biloxi, Jion Ramsey of Warner Robins, Georgia, Jionnes Lewis of Biloxi, Jermel Lewis of Biloxi, sixteen doting grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
