Jane Lee Johnson, 65, was born on July 17, 1956, to Mr. James Spaulding, Jr. and Mrs. Henrietta Landry Nurse Spaulding in Pass Christian, Mississippi. She was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Jane departed this life Sunday, August 8, 2021.
Jane was a graduate of Pass Christian High School - Class of 1974. She worked in the home health and nursing arena as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) for many years. Jane was a religious affiliate of the United Methodist Church and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pass Christian. She loved her church family and strove every day to grow closer and closer to Christ.

Jane was what most would call a silent force. Her quiet, yet sweet disposition and her radiant smile had a way of drawing people close to her and her sweet spirit guaranteed that once you met her, you were sure to love her. Although quiet, Jane was well known and loved throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She was an avid reader. In addition to reading, Jane enjoyed solving puzzles. When she wasn't reading or solving puzzles, Jane was sure to watch Wheel of Fortune, as it was her favorite television show.

Family meant a great deal to Jane. She loved her family deeply and always wanted to know that they were okay. Jane would often encourage her family to read and study the Word of God. She knew that it was only God's word that would keep them. Jane's grandchildren held a special place in her heart and she would check on them regularly. It is because of her devotion and commitment to her faith that Jane's family is comforted and rest in the truth that to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James W. Spaulding and Henrietta Landry Nurse Spaulding; three sisters, Bessie Johnson, Agatha Taylor, Georgette Daniels; and three brothers- in-law, Raymond Alexander, John Rogers, and Herbert Daniels.

Jane is survived by her loving children, Chermaine (Michael) Johnson, Marcus (Katrina) Spaulding, Damien Johnson and Zachary Johnson; one brother, James (Joysteen) Spaulding; four sisters, Janet Alexander (twin), Gloria Spaulding, Evelyn Spaulding, Doris Rogers; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
