James Brenden Thigpen, born on November 18, 1996, in Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away, on Monday, May 27, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and a loving family. Brenden, as he was fondly known, was the beloved son of James Benjamin Thigpen and Rene Champion.

Brenden was a lifelong resident of Gulfport, Mississippi and a 2015 graduate of Gulfport High School where he was on the football team. Brenden had a radiating and bubbly nature about him wherever he was. His quiet demeanor did not deter him from making friends everywhere he went. He never missed an opportunity to crack a joke and had a laugh that could bring a smile to anyone's face.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James A. Thigpen, and his maternal grandfather, Ray Champion.

Brenden is survived by his parents, James Benjamin Thigpen, and Rene Champion; two devoted sisters, Amber Draye Thigpen and Jourden Elizabeth Champion; his nieces, Charlotte and Natalie; his paternal grandmother, Elaine Kohsmann, and his maternal grandmother, Nona Champion.

Brenden had an avid love for all animals, video games, and his family and friends. Brenden was a brother, son, uncle, and friend that will be dearly missed by all.
