James William Gilley, 62, of D'Iberville, Mississippi, passed away to be reunited with his loved ones in Heaven on January 10, 2023 from a long fought battle with cancer. James was a retired blaster & painter and worked in the nuclear & oil refineries. He was a member of the IUPAT District Council 80 union. He was born in Austin, Texas, had lived & worked in many states, before settling with his family in south Mississippi. He loved rock & roll, his dogs, & God. James was known as a devoted husband, father, & Paw-Paw. He is predeceased by his father, James Elder Gilley, his mother, Genie Jo Gatlin, grandmother in love, Hazel "Juanita" Dunn of Palestine, Tx.& father-in-law, Ronijack Smiley of Chandler, Tx. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Hazel "Ronijean" Gilley, of D'Iberville, MS., son, Terry Marshall (Courtney) of Coldwater, MS, daughter, Amber, "Marshall" Gilley (Sonia), favorite grandson, Lelane Marshall-Gilley, mother-in-law, Lela Loreda, & sister, Carrie Romero of Austin Texas.
