Isabella Beal
King
Aug 10, 1934 — Oct 29, 2021
Gulfport
Isabella Beal King, 87 years old and daughter of the late James Beal, Sr. and Christine "Chesteener" Ervin Beal was born August 10, 1934, in Trail Lake, Mississippi. She was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for more than 60 years. Isabella was an active member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Gulfport, Mississippi. As a member, she served as Sunday School Assistant Superintendent. In addition to her service as an Assistant Superintendent, Isabella was an usher, a member of the Women's Mission, a Trustee, a member of the Mother Board and a person who filled in where needed. Isabella departed this earthly life, Friday, October 29, 2021.
Her profession was in Cosmetology. She enjoyed making people look beautiful. She had her own business for many years and later was employed at Head Hunters in Gulfport, MS. For more than 25 years, Isabella was a caregiver to US Veterans, providing loving care and support to them.
Her outgoing and friendly personality made it almost impossible for her to meet a stranger. She was a very social person and loved to spend time with friends and family. While Isabella enjoyed having a good time, it goes without saying that she was always about business. These are the making of a remarkable lady. Her personality and overall character was one that many aspired to be emulate and the respect given to her by her community was unmatched.
There are many things that can be said about Isabella and undoubtedly, her life's work could, alone, speak for her, but to know Isabella, personally, is to know a woman of wisdom, courage, strength, and more importantly, love. A word that instantly comes to mind as we reflect on Isabella's life is, immaculate. She loved things to look and be done in an orderly fashion. If you have ever looked at her lawn, you would know exactly what we mean, by immaculate. Isabella possessed an intrinsic niche for caring and nurturing things. This explains her love her gardening and horticulture. Isabella had a way for caring for things and people. In her own way, she had a gift of revitalization. She loved the Christmas Season. Her lawn of Christmas lights was evident of that. She received recognition for her Christmas lawn lightning after Hurricane Katrina. She was asked to decorate her lawn after Hurricane Katina to uplift the many citizens of the Coast who constantly came to view her lawn display.
Isabella's earthly departure will be deeply felt by many, but our hope is built on nothing less... to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord.
20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Philippians 3:20-21 "NIV"
"One's greatest mission in life is to be kind, compassionate, caring and loving, this is how you experience the greatest joy in life."
Isabella was preceded in death by his parents, James Beal, Sr. and Christine "Chesteener" Ervin Beal; and her spouse, Lawrence Clarence King.
