Idus Leonard
Daniels
Nov 8, 1962 — Mar 28, 2024
Mr. Idus Leonard "Big Arms" Daniels Sr was born November 8, 1962, in Gainesville, Florida to the late Luchaney Lawton and Hercules Bradley. At an early age Idus accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized. He attended and graduated from Harrison Central High School in 1981. He united in holy matrimony to Erica Daniels, and to this union they celebrated three children.
Idus was employed at the ILA of Gulfport, MS, where he was a member of the union for over 30 years. He took pride in his job as a worker of the docks, which later resulted in him becoming foreman, the position he held at the time of his death. Idus loved his family unconditionally, as he was a dedicated son, brother. Husband, father, and grandfather. He did all he could to provide for everyone as much as possible.
On March 28, 2024, at the age of 61, the Lord called his servant home.
Idus is preceded in death by his mother, Luchaney Daniels; father, Hercules Bradley and one daughter, Erica Burley.
Idus leaves to mourn and cherish his memories a devoted and loving wife, Erica Daniels; three sons, Idus Daniels, Jr., Columbus, Ohio; Frederick McDonald, Montre McDonald and Issac Jacob Daniels, all of Gulfport, Mississippi; two daughters, Kaylene Daniels, Gulfport, Mississippi and Corissa Daniels, Hattiesburg, Mississippi; one brother, Marcus (Kay) Lawton Sr., Gulfport, Mississippi and three special aunts, Ella Daniels, Gulfport, Mississippi, Beatrice Shepphard, Hawthorne, Florida and Sarah Graham, Grove Park, Florida. He also leaves to cherish his loving memories, nine grandchildren and a host of other devoted relatives and friends.
