Obituary

Herman Jules Page "Page" was born on June 8, 1939 to Celestine K. Dedeaux of DeLisle, MS and Sherman Page, Sr. in Pass Christian, MS.  He peacefully departed his earthly life on May 20, 2020.

Page attended Saint Stephens school in his younger years. Although he never completed high school, he dedicated his life to hard work. He attended Manpower training school and worked various jobs until he chose an entrepreneurial path becoming the owner of Pages Place and building his own trucking company. After giving up trucking, he built his own lawn care service and worked for the Grand Casino until 2016.

Page attended Saint Stephens Catholic church from childhood. Then Saint Stephens merged to become Most Holy Trinity, DeLisle, MS where he continued to be a faithful and committed member. In 1985 Page acknowledged that he needed a renewed relationship with God and confessed Jesus as his Savior and rededicated his life to serving and honoring God, and kept his vow for the remainder of his life. Although Page never married or had children of his own, he was blessed with three wonderful nieces that brought joy to his life. His love for his nieces extended far beyond their families to all of their close friends who also lovingly acknowledged him as "Uncle".

Page was preceded in death by his parents, Celestine K. Dedeaux and Sherman Page, Sr.; half-brother Sherman, Jr. and half-sister Iristelle Bradley, both of Evanston, IL.

Page leaves to cherish his memories his sister, Elvina (Luther) Barnes of Pass Christian, MS, half-sisters, Iris Page and Sharon Page Presby, both of California; his nieces, Tamika (Glennis) Barnes of Flowery Branch, GA; Takiyah (John) Martin of Byram, MS; and Yineda (Michael) England of Gulfport, MS; seven great nephews, Darius, Ashton, John, III, Taj, Christopher, Aden, Matthew; two great nieces, Aysia and Ava; his longtime friend, Lillian Dedeaux; and a host of family and friends.
