Sister Hattie Lou Hill was born to the late Mr. Leneal, Sr. and Mrs. Juanita Hill on March 21, 1962, in Gulfport, MS. She departed this life on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS.

Hattie attended North Gulfport School and Harrison Central High School, where she graduated a year early in 1979. She attended the University of Phoenix College where she completed several college level courses. She worked various jobs before finding her passion with the Harrison County Youth Shelter as a Child Care Worker. She was dedicated to the children of the shelter for the last twelve and a half years.

Hattie gave her life to Christ at an early age at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Gulfport, under the leadership of the late Rev. Holliman. She later joined Grace Temple Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Rossie L. Francis where she was a faithful member until the pandemic and health began to fail. Hattie's hobbies were watching movies and caring for children, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She leaves to treasure her memory, one son Gregory R. Hill; two daughters, Sophia (Daniel) Francis, Glenda Evans- all of Gulfport, MS; three brothers, Laton (Blanche) Hill- Wiggins, MS, Leneal (Faye) Hill, Jr., Willie (Valerie) Hill; a half-brother, Keith (Margaret) Johnson- all of Gulfport, MS; two sisters, Jessie Hill and Monica Hill of Gulfport, MS; five grandchildren, Aubrey, Nathaniel, and Madison Francis, Crystal Washington, Ava Hill- all of Gulfport, MS, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
