George T. Watson, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, courageous civil servant, influential community leader and educator, adorned mentor, and active parishioner of Our Mother or Mercy church, joined his loving wife in heaven, May 1st, 2020.

George was preceded in death by his mother and father Edward & Georgia Watson, two brothers, Edward Watson, Jr. and Louis Watson. He was the beloved husband, for 70 years, to the late Evelena C. Watson.

He leaves to cherish in his memory two daughters, Phyllis (Archie) Bourn-Parnell, of Gulfport, Ms., Cathy D. Watson of Pass Christian, Ms., and four grandchildren; Roderick T. Bourn of Durhan, NC., Brian Jeffrey Bourn, of Gulfport Ms., Max Wayne Sutton, of Pass Christian, and Arreyah Whitlock, of Pass Christian, Ms., and a host of relatives and friends.
