In loving memory of Eugene Huff Jr., also known as Genie, we mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Eugene was born on September 22, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Eugene Huff Sr. and La'Ruth Woods. He was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, where he developed a deep spiritual connection.
Eugene pursued his education in Marville, Arkansas, shaping his knowledge and building a foundation for his future endeavors. He had a passion for cooking, which led him to choose a profession in the culinary arts. Eugene's culinary skills brought joy and delicious meals to countless individuals, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to taste his creations.
On a fateful day in February 1995, Eugene met the love of his life, Lisa Huff. Their connection blossomed, and they exchanged vows on August 4th, 1999, embarking on a journey filled with love, partnership, and shared dreams. Eugene's marriage to Lisa was a testament to their commitment and unwavering support for one another.
Sadly, Eugene was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Huff Sr., and his stepfather, Robert Woods. Their memories and legacies will forever be cherished by Eugene's family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, carried on by his cherished wife, Lisa Huff.
Eugene's memory will forever live on through his Loving mother, La'Ruth Woods; five sons, Devin Huff, Corey Walker, Marquise Cameron, Dante Cameron, and Leroy (Nichole) Cameron; and four daughters, Genae Timms, Tawona (Demetrius) Cameron, Lacresha (Lawrence) Smith and Bianca Walker. He was also blessed with 26 grandchildren and one great-grandson, and a Godson, Christopher Holmes, whose lives were enriched by his presence and love.
Eugene shared a deep bond with his five sisters: Angela Foster, Sharon Woods, Sheila Woods, Janice (Mark) Sims, and Pamela (Donald) Sanders; his brother, Robert (Taire) Woods, held a special place in Eugene's heart forever creating memories that will endure.
He will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law, Loretta Cameron, father-in-law, Gerald Gaines, and his extended family, including aunties, uncles, nieces, and nephews, who were all touched by his kindness and warm spirit.
Today, as we gather to celebrate Eugene's life, let us honor the legacy he leaves behind. He will forever be remembered for his culinary expertise, love for his family, and his dedication to his faith. Eugene's presence will be greatly missed, but the memories and impact he made on our lives will continue to inspire and guide us.
