Edith Lenora Stewart a lifelong resident of Gulfport passed peacefully on  Wednesday, July 1, 2026, following a lengthy illness.

Edith was pre-deceased by parents Alfred and Carrie Henry-Stewart; brothers; Edward Louis, Willie B and Clarence Stewart Sr.; sisters; Edwinna Gardner, Linda Mayfield and Stella Stewart.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Eddie Herrien, of Gulfport; sisters, Helen (Freddie) Montgomery of Philadelphia, PA; Dr. Barbara ( George) Coatney of Waveland ,MS, Anita Brewster of Glendale, Arizona; brothers, Alvin and Michael Stewart of Glendale, Arizona and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and former co-workers.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Enhabit Hospice, Dr. Allison Walls and staff at Memorial Oncology, Dr. Libys and staff for their support and services, Sage Health and all others involved in her care.
