Obituary

The beautiful soul that was known as Eddie James Shed entered the world on September 28, 1985, to his late father, Eddie Joe Shed, and his mother Patricia Flowers Shed.  He was the middle child of 9 children. Sadly, he made his grand exit from this life on April 12, 2025. Eddie was a native of Starkville, MS. He  affectionately referred to his hometown as Sunset, Mississippi. In 2005, Eddie met his soon-to-be wife in Starkville and relocated to McComb, Mississippi where they were married and started their family. While in McComb he and his family joined New Life Fellowship in McComb, MS under the leadership of Pastor Terry Weems where he dedicated his life to Christ. He was later baptized while attending The Christian Community Church under the pastoral covering of Bishop Louis Perkins. After several life changes. Eddie and Doris decided to relocate to Gulfport, MS and made it their home. After searching for a new church that fit their spiritual needs.  Eddie and his family joined Empowerment Ministries Christian Center, where they felt at home and Eddie later rededicated his life to Christ and his life began to change drastically for the better. He faithfully served with a servant's heart wherever he was needed. He was a beloved Deacon and Head of Security.

Eddie was a loving, loyal, and supportive and dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, cruising, grilling, joking with everyone  and being the life of the party. He was very loving and compassionate. Eddie worked for over 10 years at Hood Industries and made many valuable friends along the way. In 2022, Eddie and his wife launched their catering business, D.A. Shed Catering, and after years of his service to Hood Industries, he left to pursue catering full-time. To know him was to love him. To many, he was considered a "Gentle Giant. "  To his wife, he was her favorite Grill Master, biggest supporter, best friend, business partner, world travel companion , and the love of her life.
