Dorothy "Dianne" Parker, 60 of Long Beach Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in her home. She was born September 3, 1959 in Gulfport and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast with the exception of a short period of living in Waterloo, Iowa and Clarksville, Tennessee.

Dianne was the daughter of Iverson H. Holmes and Dorothy (Brown) Holmes, both of whom preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her daughter La'Quisha Holmes, her son Cordero Holmes, her brother James Holmes, her sister Jackie Moffett and granddaughter Di'Asia Holmes.

Dianne will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Dorothy Smith of Long Beach and son Stephen (Jenna) Holmes of Waterloo, Iowa; her sister Patricia (Gerard) Parker of Waterloo, Iowa; Pamela Bateaste and Paula Horn both of Gulfport; her brothers Iverson (Beth) Holmes, Jr. of Waterloo, Iowa; Larry (Agnes) Holmes of Thomasville, Georgia; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews as well as her Church Family; and many friends.

Dianne was a fun, kind, loving, open hearted person who would help anyone that she was able to assist. She opened her home and her heart to those in need of comfort, strength or just a place to lay their head. She was a person who loved her family and her church. Dianne loved children and frequently brought her nieces and nephews to church with her as well as neighbor children and in the past four year, her granddaughter Amiyah Holmes.

Dianne loved football, especially her Tennessee Titans. She has a love for music, be it Rock and Roll, Country, Gospel, Contemporary Christian and praise music. Dianne will be missed dearly by all whom had the privilege of knowing her.
