Ms. Donielle R. Mateen, 25, of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on November 11, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Donielle attended and graduated from Gulfport High School. After her time at Gulfport High, Donielle gained employment at Gulfport High as a Librarian Assistant. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Gulfport located in the Handsboro community.
Donielle was a bright, bold and beautiful young lady. She possessed an outlook on life that was unmatched. She was determined to not let anything in life get the best of her. Donielle took everything, even her illness, with stride and made the best of it. She was such an inspiration to her family, friends, and all those whom she came in contact with.
Donielle loved to read. She enjoyed dancing, writing, and singing. Donielle is remembered by her family as being a social butterfly. She loved her family and nothing gave her joy more than spending time with her family and friends. Her bright and shining light served as both a guide and remembrance that there in nothing in life that we can not overcome if we would just hold on to our faith, family and fortitude. Donielle will be missed dearly by those who knew her, but her family finds solace in the words of Christ:
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14: 1-3
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her parents, Mr. Daniel Mateen and Ms. Starla Donaldson; her grandparents and caregivers, Mr. James Warren and Mrs. Michelle Warren; a paternal grandfather, Mr. Daniel Martin; a twin sister, Danielle Mateen; and a host of other family members, and friends.
