Obituary

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."  II Timothy 4: 7-8 KJV

Donald Earl Johnson, 60,  was born on June 28, 1965, in Gulfport, Mississippi, to the late Percy Davis and Earnestine Johnston. On October 15, 2025, Donald peacefully departed this life in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Donald was educated in the Gulfport School District and was a member of Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church. He spent many years working in construction with J.W. A gentle soul with a kind heart, Donald found joy in the simple things—especially fishing and spending quality time with his family. His easygoing nature and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Davis and Earnestine Johnson; his sister, Sandra Johnson; and his twin brother, Ronald Johnson.

Donald leaves to cherish his memory his loving son, Donald E. Mullins, Gulfport, MS; two sisters, Ronda "Lynette" Presley, Gulfport, MS and Gloria Johnson, Gulfport, MS; one brother, John (Nicole) Johnson, Gulfport, MS; two half-brothers, Augustus (Constance) Davis, Covington, LA and Gregory Davis, Detroit, MI; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
