Desiree Dunn, age 68, passed away on May 9, 2022.  She was a lifelong resident of Gulfport.  For nearly 30 years, Desiree worked in Nursing Services caring for veterans at the Gulfport Veterans Administration Hospital.  In her community, she loved and cared for many who affectionately called her "Momma Desi".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Dunn Sr. and Cleopatra Nelson Dunn and two brothers, Harvey Dunn, Jr. and Winston Dunn.

Desiree is survived by her three children, Steven Dunn, Kimberly Blue (Bruce), and Cleo Dunn (Anthony); seven grandchildren, Precious Brown,  Christopher Dunn (Keymia), Myah Pickens, Asjia Blue, Qwenton Blue, and Xavier Pickens; four great-grandchildren, Jaden Magee, Khamron Brown, Khalea Dunn and Khyli Dunn; four sisters, Shirley Truman; Corliss Oliver, Constance Thomas; Beverlyn Nelson, and four brothers, Keith Dunn, John Dunn, Tracy Dunn, and Rodney Dunn.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to: The American Sickle Cell Anemia Association (ASCAA)
