In loving memory of a caring woman, Deloris Bennett Turner. Deloris was born in Gulfport, MS on August 20, 1949. Deloris went home to be with the lord on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Gulfport MS.

Deloris was the fifth of 6 children between parents Dora and Willard Bennett. She graduated from 33 ^rd Avenue High School. Deloris relocated to Detroit Michigan where she started a family and gave birth to two children. It is also where she began her career in nursing. In 1985 she married Rodney Turner Sr. The two have been married for over 30 years.

They left Detroit two years after meeting and made their home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They resided there until 2005 before relocating to Charlotte North Carolina where they help care for their grandchildren. Once the grandchildren started school, they moved back to her hometown of Gulfport MS. to be closer to her siblings. She continued working as a Certified Nursing Assistant/Caregiver and foster parent. Fostering children was another way for her to help others and give back to the community. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.

Deloris is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Dora Lee Bennett and brother Larry Bennett.

She leaves behind her husband Rodney C. Turner Sr., children: Cherise Fisher (Randy Fisher), Weldon Gardner (Rita Gardner) Roxanne Turner, Rodney Turner Jr., Robert Turner and Rashima Turner, grandchildren: Randy, Carmen, Randall, and Cayla Fisher, Belle and Bella Gardner, siblings: Joyce Ann Coleman, Willard Bennett (Mary Bennett) Lawrence Bennett (Lucille Bennett) and Richard Bennett. Combined, Deloris and Rodney have 6 children, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
