Mr. David Dykes, Jr., 46, of Wiggins, Mississippi departed this life on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. After moving from Richmond, Virginia in April 2018, David returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to be with his family. He was reared in the Baptist faith and was known by many to have such an incredible giving spirit. David loved his family and kept everyone laughing with his witty personality. He will be forever cherished and remember by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. David Dykes, Sr. and a son David Dykes, III.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Mrs. Ariel McLeod Dykes, of Wiggins, MS; a son Douglass Dykes, of Richmond, Virginia; a daughter, Denajah Bennett, of Queens, NY; two grandchildren; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ernestine McLeod; aunts and uncles, Louisa Ofie, Ceola Knight, Sarah Brown, Hannah (Willie) Harvell , Jerry (George) Hale, Josephine Staton, Steve Smith, Howard (Arana) Dykes, Wilhelmina Breland, Neicee Rose, Katie (Rev. Hubert, Sr.) Jackson, Dottie (Rev. George) Little, Rose Jones, Cherroal Davis, and a host of extended family members and friends.
