Hooker
Jun 5, 1965 — May 29, 2019
Biloxi
Mr. Darryl Hooker, 52, of Biloxi, Mississippi departed this life, Wednesday, May 29, 2019. Darryl was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for more than 15 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Trenton, TN.
The life of Darryl was one of altruism and service, as reflected by his civic and social affiliations. In 2004, he became of a member of The Gulfport Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. His membership into Kappa brought him into a bond of men dedicated to service, brotherhood and achievement in every capacity of life. Darryl was also a member of the Prince Hall Masons. His commitment to service and achievement was only an outward expression of truest essence of Darryl.
Family and friends played an integral role in Darryl's life. Nothing pleased him more than to spend time with those he loved. If there was any way that sports could fit into time with family, it was icing on the cake. Darryl loved sports. Beyond his love of "the game", were his children. The many accomplishments held by them gave Darryl an inexplicable joy and he didn't mind sharing that with those he knew. Some would say that Darrly lived a simple life and therein was/is where Darryl's family finds comfort. To know him, was to understand the simplicity of life and all that it has to offer.
