Dannette Marie
Coleman
Apr 1, 1959 — May 24, 2021
Gulfport
Dannette Marie Coleman, of Gulfport, Mississippi was born April 1, 1959, to Mr. Dan Leshore and Mrs. Josephine Williams Leshore in Chicago, Illinois. She was a Mississippi Gulf Coast resident for more than 30 years. Mrs. Coleman entered into eternal rest Monday, May 24, 2021.
Mrs. Coleman was a graduate of Gage Park High School in Chicago Illinois. A short time after high school, she gained employment with IC Railroad where she worked until her retirement. In 1996, Mrs. Coleman decided to move down south, so she relocated becoming a resident of the Mississippi. After settling here on the Gulf Coast, Mrs. Coleman gained employment with Gulfport Memorial Hospital, where she also worked until her second retirement. She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Gulfport.
To know Mrs. Coleman was to love her. She was such a bright and vibrant soul. Mrs. Coleman enjoyed cooking, fishing, dancing, shopping for clothes, and talking with her sister on the phone. Family was everything to her. Mrs. Coleman's outgoing personality and contagious smile, which is what she was known for, was guaranteed to draw you in and her love for life would seal the deal. Once you met her, you were sure to be friends for life!
Mrs. Coleman was such a strong and courageous lady. She refused to let the cares of life hold her down. She danced to the beat of her own drum and she did so until the last song. Dancing brought her pure joy.
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning to dance in the rain."
~Vivian Green~
Genuine love, she gave that, a true and honest friend, she was that, good laughter and great food, she made that, especially sweet potato pies for her son and she had the best bar b ques sauce on this side of heaven. Mrs. Coleman will be deeply missed, but her family is comforted by the truth that we are living, ONLY to live again and hear Him say, "Well done!"
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leshore, and a brother Bobby Leshore.
Mrs. Coleman leaves to cherish her eternal loving memories, her beloved husband, Donald Coleman; her second mother, Lola Leshore; two sons, Delano(Felicia) Leshore and Robert E. Doald, Jr.; three brothers, Dan Leshore, Jr., Dale (June) Leshore, and Avery Leshore; five sisters, Gina (Gilbert) McGriff, Doris Leshore, Jackie Leshore, Tonyica (Danny) Williams, and Veronica Leshore; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
