Cynthia Harrington, 72, of Gulfport, MS, was born June 3, 1949, to the late Emma Lee Hill Moody Johnson and the George Moody.

She was a graduate of Long Beach High School in Long Beach, MS. Later in life, Cynthia moved to Waveland, MS and gained employment with the Waveland Resort Inn until the onset of her illness in 1989.

Cynthia was an avid sports fan. She loved attending sports events as well as watching them on T.V. She loved traveling as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren. Cynthia peacefully took her final rest on January 15, 2022, at her home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma Lee Hill Moody Johnson and George Moody; her stepfather, Isaiah Johnson, Jr.; one granddaughter, Seairra Rudolph; one brother, Rodney Moody; and two sisters, Diantha Moody and Mary Moody.

Cynthia leaves to cherish her loving memories, two sons, Willie (Britni) Moody of Bay St Louis, MS, Michael (Tory) Moody of Hattiesburg, MS; three daughters, Michelle Yancey (Marcus Evans) of Tempe Hills, MD, Marsha (Derrick) Stephens, and Cynthia (Willie) Jones both of Gulfport, MS; five brothers, Daniel Moody of Gulfport, MS, Blaine Moody of Long Beach, MS, Douglas (Joycelyn) Moody of Pass Christian, MS, Glenn Moody of San Diego, CA, and Gregory (Lisa) Moody of Florence, CO; two sisters, Sarah Moody and Linda  Moody Conley both of Gulfport, MS; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two godchildren, Ricardo Moody and Johnathan Moody; and a host of other relatives and friends.
