Mrs. Cynthia Marie Dedeaux Hightower 77, of Delisle, Mississippi, transitioned from her earthly life on Sunday, April 14, 2023. She transitioned with her devoted daughter Stacie Dedeaux-Simmons and sweet Great-Grand-daughter Luna at her side, in Long Beach Mississippi. "Nannie" as she was so affectionately called was born in Delisle, Mississippi on September 27, 1946. She attended and graduated from The Pass Christian School District. She was a member of St. Stephen's and Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic, praying the Rosary constantly throughout the day.

Mrs. Hightower was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard Hightower, Sr., parents, Florence and Stanley Dedeaux. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Felicia Hightower-Robinson, a son, Matthew James Dedeaux; Grand-daughters Kianna Dedeaux, Kierra Gates and Mary Shotwell; four sisters, Lorna Rose Daniels, Barbara Nell (David)Gregg, Edith Joyce (Freddie) Cook, Madeline Lias and Betty Ann Dedeaux; two brothers, Lionel Dedeaux and Ausker (Marilyn)Dedeaux, Sr.

Cynthia, a lifelong resident of Delisle was a mother, wife, aunt and God-mother to many. She retired from Miramar Nursing home as a cook. She then began private sitting for Elizabeth Claiborne's Mother, Louise Fenner Claiborne as well as working at South Mississippi Regional Center.

Cynthia leaves to cherish her loving memories her daughter Stacie-Dedeaux (Edward) Simmons of Long Beach, MS; Sons Dean (Monica) Dedeaux of Huntsville, AL, Shawn Dedeaux of LaQuinta, CA, Marvin (Jeredean) Hightower and David (Auriella) Hightower of Rockford, IL; brothers Kevin (Pamela) Dedeaux, Denver, CO and Terry (Verna) Dedeaux, Pass Christian, MS; sister Maion Barnett, Madison, AL; sister-n- laws Lillian Dedeaux, Pass Christian, MS, Sister-in-law Muriel Hightower of Mobile, AL. and a brother-in-law Harold Daniels of Pass Christian, MS. She also leaves behind 24 Grand-Children and 23 Great-Grand Children, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
