Obituary

Mr. Curley J. Dedeaux, 73, of DeLisle, MS, was born September 28, 1946, in DeLisle, Mississippi. After a life of love, adventure, and faith, Mr. Dedeaux departed this life, Sunday, July 5, 2020. Curley, as he was affectionately known by friends and family, was baptized and became a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church, now Most Holy Trinity, in DeLisle, MS. He supported his church and her ministries, faithfully. Curley attended Randolph High School and later obtained employment with Americus Security Company at the Port of Gulfport. Within this position, Curley was responsible for escorting trucks in and out of the port safely. When Curley was not working, or attending Mass, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was an avid auto enthusiast. Curley found great joy in racing his car. Some would say that he was just a simple man, who simply enjoyed the simple things in life. There was nothing that Curley wouldn't do for you, if it was within his power. He loved his family and lived his life to ensure that they knew it. Although Curley will be sorely missed, his family is comforted by the assurance that he is now among the faithfully departed.
Mr. Dedeaux is preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. Mary and Mr. Harry Dedeaux; two brothers, Harry Dedeaux, Jr., Michael Dedeaux; a sister, Eunice (Alphonse) Dedeaux; and a grand-son, Craig Smith, Jr.
