Obituary

Collie "C.L." Levonce Leverette was a hardworking, devoted family man who loved, supported, and genuinely cared about everybody. He was known for being very smart, intelligent, brave, and humble. He served and supported his church and local community for over 50 years, volunteered at the American Red Cross, and was an upstanding citizen.
C.L. worked as a maintenance supervisor and licensed electrician at Ingalls for over 35 years and was knowledgeable in various industrial crafts, including plumbing, welding, and construction. He was described as a walking encyclopedia who knew almost everything about anything, and if he did not know, then he would take the time to study and research it, so the next time you saw him he would be knowledgeable about it. A person could call C.L. and ask him how to fix just about anything. He could tell you what was wrong with your car and in the same sentence tell you how to eat right for your blood type. C. L. Leverette did not mind helping out his fellow man. He took pride in teaching and helping others succeed.
He was a devoted family man who loved and supported all his sisters, brothers, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and anyone else he took in. C.L. Leverette would have shown up just about anywhere for almost anyone. He was the true definition of a good man. If you mentioned C.L. Leverette's name to anyone who crossed his path, the response would be unanimous. The response would be, "That was a good man". G- Godfearing, O- Over and beyond, he went over and beyond to help anyone, O- he was an overachiever who was D- Devoted to loving, serving, and protecting his family.
C. L. Leverette was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents, Levonce Leverette and Cozie Etta Powe; his siblings Clyde Leverette, Annie Joyce Cobb, Frederick Leverette, and his loving sister, Barbara Packer Leverette; and his great-grandson, Kayson Zion Fennell.
He leaves to cherish his memories, five daughters, Marilyn Gullette of Mobile, Alabama, Bernadette Gullette of Biloxi, Mississippi, Tischinna
